Ninjutsu Training Weapons |

Ninjutsu training involves a broad range of weaponry. Each weapon is studied for one month at a time. The basic weapons are : - boken ( wooden sword )
- hanbo ( half-staff)
Instructors have the option to also teach other ninjutsu weapons on a monthly basis. These include: - tanbo ( short-stick )
- tanto ( safety knife )
- bo ( staff )
- tessen ( folded fan )
- kusari fundo ( weighted-chain replica )
- hojo ( tying-cord )
- shuriken ( safe throwing stars )
- metsubushi ( safe throwing powder )
Our annual weapon training schedule is as follows: - January - instructor's option
- February - hanbo
- March - boken
- April - instructor's option
- May - hanbo
- June - boken
- July - instructor's option
- August - hanbo
- September - boken
- October - instructor's option
- November - hanbo
- December - boken
* Please note that all training weapons used are of a safe design A number of more exotic ninjutsu weapons can be studied under Sensei Roy's tuition. These include: - kusari gama ( sickle with weighted chain )
- kyoketsu shoge ( hooked-knife and ring )
- kama yari ( hooked spear )
- chigi riki ( three-quarter staff with weighted chain )
